Good afternoon everyone. Below an analysis of 610 W x 125 mm beam in two cases. In both cases the beam is embedded at one end and subjected to a force of 44500 N. The difference is that in the latter case the force is inclined at 1 degree. The objective of the analysis is to exemplify that when there is a big difference between the values of inertia moment (Ix this case is much larger than Iy), a small slope in the loading can lead to a significant increase of the principal stresses and favor the occurrence of side bends. The analysis was performed on Ansys software.
Ix = 985E6 mm^4
Iy = 39,3E6 mm^4
